Job summary

Jacobs in Houston seeks a Senior Technical Service Manager to support our Life Sciences North America team in Northeast Houston, Texas. You will resolve in-progress issues, liaise with home office and client reps, and provide on-site technical support interpreting drawings and specifications.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in engineering/construction of heavy-industrial facilities, strong reading of drawings, and experience with field design revisions and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years in engineering and construction of heavy-industrial process facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and release documents.

Responsibilities

• Resolve in-progress issues and expedite responses to meet project needs.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client reps.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting documents, specs, and drawings.
• Engage in permitting with AHJs and field design revision processes.
• Coordinate with Design-Build contractors during field execution.
• Maintain revision control for construction documents and changes.
• Lead in response to specification deviations and NCR resolution.
• Mentor subordinate team members toward project objectives.
