Job summary

PMAA, Inc. is seeking an experienced recruiter to manage high-priority searches from intake through placement at our Plantation, FL office. The role emphasizes sourcing passive candidates and building effective strategies across Engineering, Power Generation & Utilities, Technology, and Finance disciplines.

You will screen, qualify, and present strong candidates while negotiating offers and guiding clients. Leadership and mentoring duties may evolve as you help grow the recruiting team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruiting experience preferred.
• Staffing agency or executive search experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of personally making placements.
• Strong passive-candidate sourcing and hunting ability.
• Experience recruiting technical, professional, or specialized positions.
• Ability to quickly learn new industries and recruit outside of one narrow vertical.
• Strong screening, negotiation, candidate-control, and closing skills.
• Experience working directly with clients and hiring managers.
• Leadership, mentoring, or recruiter-training experience is a plus.
• Competitive, resourceful, accountable, and driven to produce results.

Responsibilities

• Personally manage high-priority searches from intake through placement.
• Source and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn, databases, referrals, cold outreach, market mapping, and creative sourcing.
• Recruit across Engineering, Power Generation & Utilities, Technology, Accounting & Finance, and other professional disciplines.
• Quickly learn unfamiliar positions and develop effective search strategies.
• Screen, qualify, and present strong candidates to clients.
• Manage candidates through interviews, offers, negotiations, counteroffers, and closing.
• Work directly with clients and hiring managers, providing market intelligence and solutions when searches become challenging.
• Train and mentor junior recruiters on sourcing, screening, candidate management, and closing.
• Help build a culture of urgency, accountability, and results.
• Gradually take greater responsibility for recruiting team performance, training, and development.
