Job summary

OpenTable is hiring a Principal Technical Recruiter to drive the company’s engineering talent strategy in a hybrid model with SF office two days per week.

You will lead executive-level recruitment, design scalable talent acquisition frameworks, and partner with senior leadership to forecast workforce needs and shape compensation discussions. The role emphasizes sourcing, negotiations, and a strong data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience in high-growth or enterprise tech environments.
• Proven ability to advise and influence senior executives using market data and pipeline health metrics.
• Deep technical understanding of software engineering, infrastructure, data science, or related fields.
• Experience navigating complex, high-level offer negotiations and compensation structuring.
• Hybrid work model with a requirement to commute to San Francisco two days per week.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to design baseline hiring criteria and forecast workforce needs.
• Execute advanced sourcing and market mapping to build pipelines across software engineering, data science, and research domains.
• Lead complex offer negotiations and craft competitive compensation packages; deliver a white-glove candidate experience.
• Establish scalable hiring frameworks, rubrics, and candidate evaluation processes across the engineering org.
• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in the technical recruiting pipeline and sourcing strategies.
• Mentor junior recruiters and sourcers, establishing best practices and raising team standards.
