You work directly with real hiring managers on open reqs, not a portal, across long-term contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire. You will source candidates from Desktop Support up to Director/VP levels, lead intake calls with hiring managers, and negotiate offers to build lasting pipelines.

MMD Services is a boutique IT staffing firm based in downtown Chicago with over 20 years in business and a tenured leadership and sales team.

We recruit mid-level through executive IT talent across long-term contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire, all non-VMS. You work directly with real hiring managers on real, open reqs, not a portal. Our client base spans Chicagoland and countless other states across finance, e-commerce, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, IT Consulting, SaaS, and more.

Most agencies run on volume. Recruiters get a stack of reqs and a quota, then get left to sink or swim. That churn and burn is what drives strong recruiters out of the industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Run full-cycle technical recruiting across contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire (not 360)
• Source and qualify candidates from Desktop Support up through Director and VP-level technical roles
• Lead intake calls with hiring managers. Ask sharp questions. Bring market insight, not just resumes
• Qualify candidates on trajectory and culture fit, not just skills match
• Negotiate and close offers working directly with clients and candidates from intro through guarantee
• Build talent pipelines that outlast any single req
• Stay in touch with contractors after placement to catch issues early and keep clients happy
• Generate leads and referrals through your own network to help grow the client base

What You Bring:

• 2+ years agency recruiting experience with proven full-cycle placements
• Money motivated and competitive attitude in a highly competitive industry
• Comfortable owning the process from intake to close
• A consultative approach, not a transactional black and white process
• Strong phone and interview presence paired with the confidence to influence
• Strong negotiating and closing skills
• Ability to multitask and stay sharp in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter who tracks their own numbers
• Existing network in IT or technical staffing is a plus
