Job summary

Rivian seeks a highly organized Technical Program Manager to drive execution of complex, high-impact programs exceeding $50M. You will define scope, schedules, and budgets across cross-functional teams and external partners, reporting to a Director of Manufacturing Engineering.

This role will require strong leadership, risk management, and proactive communication to ensure program success and alignment with Rivian's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years managing complex programs with budgets >$50M.
• Strong ability to define and maintain program scope.
• Proven ability to build partnerships with internal and external teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Experience working with external vendors.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using JIRA/Confluence for task tracking.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop comprehensive program plans with scope & milestones.
• Lead cross-functional partnerships with internal teams and external vendors.
• Foster a collaborative high-performing team environment.
• Identify and mitigate program risks to ensure on-time delivery.
• Create detailed program plans for new product launches (1–3 year horizon).
• Establish systems for action tracking and documentation.
• Translate ambiguous goals into actionable tasks and prioritize.
