Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead cloud and IT deployments for public safety agencies. You will drive projects from kickoff to go-live, coordinating resources across Axon 911, partners, and customers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role values strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and a proactive approach to producing scalable, secure solutions while supporting first responders nationwide.

Qualifications

• PMP or CAPM certified.
• 3–5 years of experience managing global technical projects, preferably within a B2B SaaS, IT, or cloud services company.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams through cloud or hybrid infrastructure implementations.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and cloud deployment models (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Ability to translate customer needs into actionable technical plans.
• Thrive in a dynamic startup culture and interface with technical and executive stakeholders.
• Willing to travel domestically up to 20% or more.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment of cloud-based platforms, including system configuration, testing, and go-live support.
• Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to implement scalable, secure IT solutions for public safety.
• Create/manage project and technical implementation plans (infrastructure readiness, data flows, failover testing).
• Coordinate with DevOps, R&D, and Solution Architects to align product capabilities with deployment requirements.
• Manage expectations across stakeholders, resolve issues, and ensure milestone delivery.
• Facilitate system handovers to customer IT teams and lead onboarding/training.
• Identify post-deployment support needs and opportunities for add-on services.
