Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Senior Technical Pilot to apply fighter experience to procedure design, pilot-vehicle interfaces, and test strategies across aircraft programs. You will mentor Technical Pilots, engage regulators, support BD, and contribute to investigations.

This role involves shaping test plans, coordinating with engineering and manufacturing, and representing Boeing in forums. Expect travel and leadership responsibilities in a high-visibility program.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance within 24 months is required.
• BS in Engineering or closely related field; Master’s preferred.
• FAA Commercial certificate or ATP with endorsements, or military equivalent.
• Ability to obtain FAA Second Class Medical certificate.
• Minimum 1,000 hours as PIC in turbine-powered jet aircraft.
• Test/development experience on 5th/6th-generation fighter aircraft.
• U.S. Person for export-control compliance.
• Willingness to undergo drug testing and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute engineering and experimental test events for aircraft.
• Provide flight ops, safety, and technical support to stakeholders.
• Develop and publish tactics, techniques, and procedures for operations.
• Shape test plans to meet certification objectives while preserving design integrity.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and airworthiness on certification.
• Mentor Technical Pilots; lead in collaborations and industry forums.
• Engage regulators at executive level and support business development.
• Consult with cross-functional teams during investigations and safety analyses.
