Job summary

FMS Aerospace is seeking a Senior Flight Test Manager to lead the flight test organization and strategy across the company. You will own cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk for flight test programs, and act as the primary technical and customer-facing authority.

The role requires 15+ years of leadership in flight test programs, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to travel domestically up to 20% to customer sites and test locations. FAA familiarity is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 15+ years in flight test engineering/leadership roles across multiple programs.
• FAA Class III Medical Certificate or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, organization, and operating model for flight test across the company.
• Lead planning, execution, data reduction, and reporting for modification and certification programs.
• Develop certification bases, compliance plans, and flight test procedures for FAA, military, and customers.
• Oversee instrumentation design, data systems, and test data management across programs.
• Hire, mentor, and develop flight test staff and build a scalable organization.
• Support business development with risk-reduction and capture activities.
