Job summary

Nationwide IT Services, Inc. is seeking a Technical Lead / Solution Architect for a Federal ADSS program to serve as the senior technical authority on enterprise architecture, modernization, and cloud strategy across Microsoft 365, Azure Gov, .NET, and SQL Server.

The role requires guiding design, mentoring developers, coordinating with government stakeholders, and ensuring secure SDLC compliance while delivering scalable, secure enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 10+ years of software engineering and solution architecture experience
• 5+ years supporting Federal Government IT systems
• 5+ years as Technical Lead/Lead Engineer/Solution Architect/Enterprise Architect
• Experience leading large modernization efforts or enterprise software projects
• Strong cloud-native and hybrid enterprise architecture experience
• Proven Agile software development experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for development, modernization, integration, and cloud engineering activities
• Lead enterprise architecture planning and solution design across Microsoft 365, Azure Government, Power Platform, custom .NET apps, SQL Server, SharePoint Online
• Develop solution architectures, roadmaps, reference architectures, system designs, and implementation strategies
• Collaborate with Government stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure solutions
• Lead technical planning for modernization, cloud migration, API development, and system integration
• Provide technical leadership through the SDLC
• Establish software engineering standards, DevSecOps, and release management procedures
• Review designs, code, and configurations for compliance with Federal standards
• Mentor developers and engineers to foster improvement
• Coordinate with cybersecurity to ensure alignment with FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, Zero Trust, ICAM, ATO
• Support Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and architecture reviews
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; propose modernization priorities
• Prepare architecture docs, decision records, and interface specs
• Support technical proposal development and transition planning
