Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field [Required].

• 10+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and React [Required].
• Extensive design and programming experience with Java and JEE technologies [Required].
• Extensive hands-on experience with frameworks such as Angular, React, and Express/Node.js [Required].
• Hands-on experience as a Technical Lead [Required].
• Experience with Agile projects and understanding of Agile terminology and tools [Required].
• Experience designing high-throughput and low-latency systems with cloud-native deployment [Required].
• Experience deploying cloud-native apps onto AWS with PostgreSQL and CI/CD tooling [Required].
• Experience with web services technologies including XML, JAXP, JAXB, JAX-WS, Axis, Jersey, JSON, CXF, REST, SOAP [Required].
• Experience with JEE technologies including Struts, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, JPA, Hibernate, WebSphere [Required].
• Experience using static code analyzers such as SonarQube [Required].
• Experience with performance tuning in cloud environments [Required].
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance [Required].
• On-site work in Woodlawn, MD, 5 days a week [Required].

Responsibilities

• Design, develop software applications using Twelve-Factor App methodology and modern UI technologies.
• Develop microservices with Spring Boot, Java, and RESTful architecture.
• Create innovative UI components through collaboration with technical teams.
• Apply DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, OpenShift, and cloud platforms.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native apps on AWS with PostgreSQL and Docker.
• Lead technical efforts and mentor junior/mid-level developers.
• Ensure Section 508 accessibility compliance for web pages.
• Architect and document solutions using Visio, Confluence, and UML diagrams.
• Maintain high-quality code with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in customer design discussions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
