Job summary

Omm IT Solutions in Woodlawn, MD is seeking a senior Java/Spring Boot developer to design and deliver microservices-based applications. The role requires on-site work five days a week with the ability to obtain a US Public Trust clearance.

You will collaborate with business analysts, QA, and PMs and contribute to architecture decisions throughout the lifecycle. The candidate should have extensive experience with Java/JEE, Spring, REST, JAX-WS, and cloud platforms like AWS/OpenShift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React.
• Experience as hands-on Technical Lead in Agile environments.
• Knowledge of Agile terminology and tools including Jira/Agility.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software using Twelve-Factor App methodology.
• Develop UI components and web features through cross-team collaboration.
• Design 508-compliant web components.
• Develop Microservices using Spring Boot, Java and RESTful architecture.
• Maintain DAO access with DB2 and PostgreSQL using ORM (JPA).
• Create POCs and templates for BDD/API testing (Cucumber, Gherkin).
• Write unit tests with JUnit, Mockito and PowerMock.
• Document solution architecture with Visio/Confluence.
• Lead technical discussions and provide viable architectural solutions.
