Job summary

ADC Management Services is seeking a Senior Technical Editor to oversee the editorial process for high-stakes technical documentation. You will mentor staff, transform engineering jargon into authoritative documents, and ensure reference and fact checking, copyright compliance, and agency style guides.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 10+ years of senior editing and project management experience, with preference for highway or transportation-related work.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in English, Journalism, or a technical field.
• 10+ years of senior editing with supervisory and project management experience.
• Transportation experience, especially highway-related, preferred.
• Strong command of the GPO Style Manual and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire editorial process for high-stakes technical documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure stylistic consistency across programs.
• Perform reference and fact checking and ensure copyright compliance.
• Manage full lifecycle of documents from outline to final publication, including online publishing.
