Job summary

Three Saints Bay, LLC seeks a Senior Technical Editor in Washington, DC to lead the magazine's editorial lifecycle and production cycle. You will ensure timely publication, uphold quality standards, and align content with strategic communication goals.

Responsibilities include coordinating between writers and design teams, enforcing version control, and ensuring compliance with GPO Style, Chicago Manual of Style, and Section 508 accessibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field; advanced degree desirable.
• 7–10 years of editorial and publication management experience.
• Experience overseeing production of a periodical, preferably technical.
• Expertise in project management for recurring publication cycles.
• Advanced editing: substantive, copyediting, proofreading.
• Knowledge of Section 508 and federal publishing standards.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle and production management of the magazine from planning to distribution.
• Provide high-level editorial support and content development.
• Coordinate between writers, designers, and legal reviewers.
• Ensure quality control per GPO and Chicago Style.
• Manage distribution formatting and production schedules.
