Job summary

N4 Solutions, LLC seeks a part-time Magazine Editor/Publication Specialist to manage editorial and production activities for a federal magazine. You will coordinate authors, reviewers, designers, and legal staff to ensure timely, high-quality issues that meet accessibility and editorial standards.

The role emphasizes lifecycle management, production coordination, and quality control within a fast-paced environment, offering flexible, part-time engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or a closely related field.
• 7–10 years of editorial and publication management experience.
• Experience managing the lifecycle of a recurring publication.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, calendars, and milestones.
• Advanced editing, copyediting, proofreading, and QA skills.
• Familiarity with GPO and Chicago style standards and 508 accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle of recurring magazine issues from planning to distribution.
• Develop production schedules, editorial calendars, and milestones.
• Coordinate reviews, approvals, and final production with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with editorial standards and accessibility requirements.
• Coordinate layout with designers and ensure publication integrity.
