Job summary

Ocean Bay, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, is seeking a Publications Specialist Level 2 in Washington, DC. The role oversees the magazine lifecycle, ensuring editorial excellence, strict version control, and timely production in compliance with applicable standards.

You will coordinate between writers, editors, and design teams, applying the GPO Style Manual and Chicago rules, and manage the approval workflows for a high‑quality quarterly publication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or a closely related field.
• 7–10 years of editorial and publication management experience.
• Experience overseeing production of a periodical, preferably technical.
• Strong project management for recurring publication cycles.
• Advanced editing, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
• Deep knowledge of Section 508 and federal publishing standards.
• Ability to manage complex approval workflows between technical and creative teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the magazine lifecycle from production schedules to approvals.
• Provide high-level editorial support and content development.
• Liaise between writers and layout/design teams.
• Ensure compliance with GPO Style Manual and Chicago Manual of Style.
• Coordinate distribution and formatting per standards.
