Job summary

Manière De Voir Ltd in New York City is seeking a senior technical designer to ensure every garment lands exactly as designed across sizes and factories. You will translate design into production, owning specs, fit, grading, and construction from proto to top-of-production.

Reporting to the VP of Production & Supply Chain, you will build tech packs, maintain blocks and standards, and partner with overseas factories to fix issues at root cause.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technical design at premium, contemporary, or luxury fashion brand.
• Expert in womens wovens and dresses; tailoring and structured garments a strong plus.
• You lead fittings and make confident final fit decisions.
• Strong patternmaking, grading, and construction knowledge.
• Fluent in PLM, Illustrator, and Excel; Gerber/AccuMark or CLO 3D a plus.
• Based in New York City and ready to be on-site.

Responsibilities

• Run live-model and form fittings; make final fit calls and write clear fit comments to factories.
• Build and maintain tech packs, points of measure, grade rules, and tolerances from concept through bulk.
• Create the MDV block library and construction standards for consistent silhouettes across seasons and suppliers.
• Work directly with overseas and nearshore factories to fix fit, construction, and quality issues at root cause.
• Use fit-related return reasons and customer feedback to correct patterns and specs before the next buy.
