Job summary

Lawelawe Technology Services seeks a Technical Deputy Program Manager to lead software development and oversee daily contract operations. You will report to the Program Manager and represent Lawelawe with government clients and subcontractors.

You will direct software engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, and PMO activities, translate contract requirements into technical priorities, and ensure timely delivery through Agile practices and effective resource management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years in software product design, development, release, and delivery.
• 5+ years of management or leadership within a software org.
• 2+ years managing a Scrum team.
• Ability to serve as second in charge and lead during absences.
• Strong communication with Government and corporate leadership.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily contract operations and coordinate resources.
• Act as Program Manager during absences to maintain operations.
• Link Lawelawe leadership with the program team and subcontractors.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and resolve staffing issues.
• Supervise PMO staff, assign workloads, and coach staff.
• Coordinate hiring with Talent Acquisition and address HR actions.
• Guide daily execution across software engineering, DevOps, cyber, and systems integration.
• Translate contract requirements into technical priorities and workflows.
• Manage software development from design to release, including testing and evaluation.
• Define product strategy with PM and Product Owners, forecast needs, roadmap.
• Research options and recommend technical approaches and direction.
• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and governance reviews.
• Coordinate deployments within release schedules and drive improvements.
• Track scope, schedule, resources, and cost baselines against contract.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks; implement corrective actions.
• Prepare program reports and executive briefings with clear metrics.
