Job summary

Quality Vision International in Rochester, NY, on-site, seeks an OGP Services Technical Content Developer II to create, maintain, and improve technical content for installation, calibration, maintenance, and service topics of QVI products.

You will monitor content effectiveness, support metrics, and collaborate across teams to meet delivery standards while mentoring peers and contributing to content development initiatives. This position offers competitive benefits and on-site work.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in a technical discipline or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in technical writing or instructional content development.
• Ability to write for a technical audience with clarity and precision using structured authoring tools and visual media.
• Familiarity with content development KPIs and metrics-based goals.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and photo/video editing tools; MadCap Flare and SharePoint preferred.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to work independently and mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Establish proficiency with documentation platforms and resolve issues; submit IT tickets as needed.
• Create accurate documentation work tickets and manage a 60-day content review backlog.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge by maintaining matrices for Install, Motion, Lighting, Optics, Electronics, and Accessories.
• Maintain digital Documentation Libraries with proper revision control.
• Create templates, style guides, and content standards for review meetings.
• Establish relationships to enable content collaboration and information sharing.
• Notify stakeholders when documents are approved and complete publishing requirements.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
