Job Description

Proactively seeks out strategic business opportunities with business unit leaders from one or more business areas. Provides advice, assistance, and leadership in planning, procurement, delivery, management, and effective business use of information systems. Analyzes business processes, elicits, analyzes, documents requirements, identifies solutions, and makes recommendations to leverage technology. Translates requirements into functional specifications, manages change, and leads testing and validation activities. Performs technical analysis in partnership with technical teams to evaluate and deliver business features.

Responsibilities

• Understand business processes and drivers across multiple units; identify needs and opportunities for process improvements enabled by technology.
• Develop and lead information management strategies aligned with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Evaluate emerging business needs and technology solutions using standard methodologies.
• Seek strategic opportunities for applying new or existing technologies, providing strategic insights to business leaders.
• Create and review information systems strategies, ensuring alignment with business benefits.
• Conduct training on new BTS solutions and recommend process improvements.
• Build and maintain relationships with business partners and external vendors; coordinate project activities and manage interdependencies.
• Act as a liaison and expert to ensure successful project implementation.
• Establish authority and accountability for technical and business system activities, including managing teams and resources.
• Ensure compliance with delivery and solution tools, and deliver technical project outputs.
• Manage BTS platform responsibilities, including risk management and infrastructure support.
• Develop and maintain strategic vendor relationships, including resource planning and contract management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience; Master's Degree with 6+ years; PhD with 2+ years.
• Problem-solving approach with minimal supervision.
• Experience with large enterprise IT systems, preferably in life sciences.
• Experience with Document Management, Learning Management, or Product Labeling systems is preferred.
