Job Description

The role involves proactively seeking strategic business opportunities with business unit leaders across multiple areas. Provides advice, assistance, and leadership related to planning, procurement, delivery, and management of information systems. Analyzes business processes, documents requirements, identifies solutions, and translates business needs into functional specifications. Leads testing, validation, and technical evaluations in collaboration with technical teams.

Responsibilities

1. Understand business processes, drivers, and strategies; identify opportunities for process improvements enabled by technology; assess existing systems and explore new technological capabilities.
2. Develop and lead information management strategies aligned with business strategies; initiate and oversee improvement programs involving changes in business functions, processes, roles, and technology.
3. Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
4. Evaluate and recommend technology solutions based on business needs using standard methodologies.
5. Identify strategic technology opportunities and provide insights to high-level business executives.
6. Develop and review information systems strategies, ensuring alignment with business benefits and compliance.
7. Conduct training on new solutions; advise stakeholders on process improvements, including outsourcing and BPM practices.
8. Build and manage relationships with business partners and internal teams to ensure successful project implementation.
9. Coordinate services within BTS, manage interdependencies, and communicate project status and issues.
10. Establish and maintain relationships at all organizational levels and with external partners; act as a business process expert.
11. Hold authority over significant work areas, including technical and financial aspects; set objectives and delegate tasks.
12. Ensure compliance with delivery standards and create key deliverables.
13. Lead technical project delivery in collaboration with QA teams and vendors; include planning, requirements, design, testing, and documentation.
14. Manage BTS platform responsibilities, including risk management and infrastructure support.
15. Establish and maintain vendor relationships, including resource planning, budgeting, and contract management.
16. Manage project team members and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years, Master's Degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 2+ years of experience.
• Problem-solving approach with some autonomy.
• Experience with large enterprise IT systems, ideally within the life sciences industry (3+ years).
• Experience with Document Management, Learning Management, and/or Product Labeling systems preferred.
