Job Description

Proactively seeks out strategic business opportunities with business unit leaders from one or more business areas. Provides advice, assistance, and leadership in areas related to planning, procurement, delivery, management, and effective use of information systems across multiple business areas. Analyzes business processes, elicits, analyzes, documents requirements, identifies solutions, assesses feasibility, and makes recommendations, leveraging technology components. Translates requirements into functional specifications, performs data and process modeling, manages change, and leads testing and validation of solutions. Collaborates with technical teams to evaluate and deliver business features.

Responsibilities

1. Understand business processes and drivers, identify needs and opportunities for process improvement enabled by technology, and assess existing systems and capabilities.
2. Develop and lead information management strategies aligned with business strategies, initiating improvement programs across multiple areas.
3. Ensure compliance with corporate, global, and divisional policies and procedures.
4. Evaluate current and emerging business needs, and assess technology solutions using standard methodologies.
5. Identify strategic opportunities for applying new or existing technologies, providing strategic analyses to high-level business leaders.
6. Create and review information systems strategies, ensuring alignment with business benefits and compliance.
7. Conduct training on new solutions and recommend process improvements, including outsourcing or BPM practices.
8. Build and maintain relationships with business partners and manage project communications and interdependencies.
9. Broker services within BTS, coordinate solution portfolios, and manage stakeholder relationships.
10. Establish authority and responsibility for work areas, including technical, financial, and quality aspects, and delegate as needed.
11. Ensure compliance with delivery tools and create key deliverables for projects.
12. Own and deliver technical projects, including requirements, design, testing, and documentation.
13. Manage BTS platform responsibilities, including risk management and infrastructure support.
14. Develop and maintain vendor relationships, including resource planning and contract management.
15. Manage technical and business analyst teams and project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 6 years’ experience; PhD with 2 years’ experience.
• Problem-solving approach with autonomy.
• Experience with large enterprise IT systems, ideally within the life sciences industry (3+ years).
• Experience with Document Management, Learning Management, or Product Labeling systems is preferred.
