Job Description

The role involves proactively seeking strategic business opportunities with business unit leaders, providing advice and leadership in planning, procurement, delivery, and management of information systems across multiple business areas. The candidate will analyze business processes, elicit and document requirements, identify solutions, and collaborate with technical teams to evaluate and implement features.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze business processes, drivers, and strategies across multiple units; identify opportunities for process improvement via technology; assess existing systems and technologies.
• Develop and lead information management strategies aligned with business strategies; initiate and manage improvement programs involving changes in processes, roles, and technology.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Evaluate emerging business needs and technology solutions using standard methodologies.
• Identify and pursue strategic opportunities for applying new or existing technologies, providing strategic insights to high-level executives.
• Develop or review information systems strategies, ensuring alignment with business benefits and compliance; prepare testing plans as needed.
• Conduct training on new solutions; advise stakeholders on process improvements, including BPM practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with business partners and internal teams; coordinate project solutions and manage interdependencies.
• Serve as a liaison and expert to ensure successful implementation and support of projects; understand business drivers, processes, and organizational structures.
• Manage technical and business analysts, project managers, and vendors; oversee project delivery including requirements, design, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 6 years’ experience; PhD with 2 years’ experience.
• Problem-solving approach with some autonomy; collaborative work style.
• At least 3 years’ experience with large enterprise IT systems, preferably in the life sciences industry.
• Experience with Document Management, Learning Management, or Product Labeling systems is preferred.
