Job summary

Blackbird Interactive is seeking a Senior Technical Artist to join a small, high-performing team. You will bridge Art and Engineering, build and maintain tools, and push visual quality while respecting technical constraints.

You will collaborate with artists and programmers across animation, modeling, texturing, shaders, and VFX, while optimizing workflows and pipelines for real-time content.

Qualifications

• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 and real-time content pipelines.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain artist-focused tools and workflows.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming (C++, Python) for tool development.

Responsibilities

• Bridge between Art, Engineering and engine to solve cross-disciplinary problems.
• Support art-to-engine integration, asset setup, debugging and optimization.
• Develop tools and workflows to improve artist productivity and content quality.
• Collaborate with animation, modeling, texturing, shaders, VFX and other real-time disciplines.
• Identify visual and performance issues and provide high-quality solutions.
