Job summary

Side is seeking a Senior Technical Artist to drive performance and visual fidelity on a large-scale open world title. You will optimise environments, materials, textures, shaders, and workflows at the intersection of art and engineering.

You will collaborate with artists, rendering engineers, and content teams to deliver scalable solutions that support high-quality content at scale. Strong C++ and engine scripting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Artist on AAA titles.
• Strong understanding of LOD, materials, textures, shaders, and asset streaming.
• Strong C++ programming skills and tools in game engines.
• Excellent collaboration between Art and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive optimisation across large-scale open world environments.
• Implement and refine LOD, HLOD, material, texture and asset streaming solutions.
• Profile CPU, GPU and memory usage and resolve bottlenecks with Art and Eng teams.
• Ad hoc development of tools, workflows and technical solutions in C++ and engine scripting.
