Job summary

Studio Wildcard is seeking a Senior Graphics Programmer to push Unreal Engine 5 to its limits on massive open-world gameplay. You will optimize rendering, profile GPU workloads, and collaborate with art and VFX to deliver visually stunning experiences across PC and consoles.

The role requires deep C/C++ expertise, DX12 mastery, and hands-on Unreal Engine source work, with on-call readiness during shipping windows and strong timing discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional C/C++ experience focused on real-time rendering.
• Deep expertise with modern rendering architecture using DX12.
• Experience profiling and debugging frame time with PIX.
• Proficient in HLSL/compute shaders and PBR materials.
• Extensive experience modifying Unreal Engine 4/5 source code.
• Experience with Perforce version control.

Responsibilities

• Refactor and upgrade the Unreal Engine for massive open-world gameplay.
• Profile GPU performance and resolve rendering bottlenecks.
• Optimize rendering ecosystem with Lumen, Nanite, and hardware ray tracing.
• Collaborate with Technical Art and VFX to build custom rendering systems.
• Provide shader development support for materials and pipelines.
• Optimize draw calls and VRAM budgets across PC and consoles.
• Develop internal tools to speed up engine iteration.
• Manage large-scale asset pipelines and streaming architectures.
