Job summary

Riveter Consulting Group seeks a Senior Technical Designer to translate design concepts into technical packages on-site in Los Angeles. You will oversee garment construction details and guide pattern development from prototype through production, ensuring quality, fit and manufacturability.

The role requires advanced fitting and pattern making skills, with experience in architecture or structural design as applicable, and proficiency with Illustrator and CAD tools. On-site collaboration is key.

Qualifications

Experience creating detailed tech packs and overseeing construction standards.
Advanced fitting and pattern making skills with ability to interpret fit issues and provide corrections.
Architecture or structural design skills with understanding of 3D form and material behavior.
Proficiency in industry-standard tools and strong documentation and measurement skills.
Experience in senior technical design or equivalent role; education preferred in fashion/technical design/architecture.
On-site work in Los Angeles, with ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

Translate design concepts into technical packages.
Oversee garment construction details and production-ready specs.
Guide pattern development from prototype through production.
Prepare technical specs and conduct fittings with notes.
Collaborate with designers, pattern makers and production teams to ensure quality and manufacturability.
Review samples, troubleshoot construction issues, and maintain fit standards across collections.
Support spatial or structural design elements on select projects when needed.
