Job summary

Fourth Floor in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Technical Designer to oversee end-to-end technical design from concept through production, ensuring fit, construction, and quality across garments.

You will lead fit sessions, develop detailed technical packages, and mentor the team while collaborating with Design, Product Development, and Production to resolve construction issues and keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical design or related apparel field.
• Experience leading technical design workflows cross-functionally.
• Strong communication and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical design process from concept through production, ensuring fit, construction, and quality.
• Review design concepts and develop technical packages with measurements, specs, and construction details.
• Lead fit sessions and provide construction and measurement guidance to internal teams and vendors.
• Partner with Design, Product Development, and Production to resolve construction issues and keep projects on schedule.
• Track project timelines and ensure consistency across styles and categories.
• Lead and mentor the technical design team and foster a collaborative environment.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and maintain quality.
• Support cross-functional communication to align with quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
