Job summary

Enact Holdings, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Manager to provide leadership across U.S. GAAP, SAP and other regulatory regimes.

You will support complex analyses, financial reporting conclusions, and documentation while partnering with the Controllership team. Responsibilities include researching complex transactions, advising on credit-related insurance/reinsurance matters, and guiding system implementation to strengthen reporting controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA certification preferred or required depending on role.
• 8+ years in progressive accounting roles with technical accounting analysis.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to apply guidance to complex transactions.
• Proven ability to research technical accounting matters and clearly document conclusions.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex accounting concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research and documentation for complex transactions under U.S. GAAP, SAP and other accounting principles.
• Evaluate accounting and reporting implications of reinsurance and insurance transactions including commissions and FX matters.
• Assist with statutory and U.S. GAAP financial reporting deliverables and regulatory filings.
• Maintain and enhance technical accounting policies, process documentation, and internal controls.
• Monitor emerging accounting guidance affecting insurance and reinsurance; assess impact on policies and disclosures.
• Serve as accounting SME on system implementation or enhancement projects for credit insurance and reinsurance.
• Identify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen controls.
