Job summary

FalconX is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting to lead technical accounting and reporting workstreams in a high-volume derivatives environment, reporting to the Head of Accounting. This role blends advanced technical expertise with operational leadership to ensure audit-ready financial statements in a rapidly scaling business.

You will direct policies, manage cross-functional projects, and lead teams (including offshore resources) to maintain strict U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience transitioning from Big 4 Audit/Technical Desks into Accounting Leadership.
• Direct experience with regulated entities (CFTC Swap Dealer, FCM, or SEC Broker-Dealer).
• Proven ability to lead multiple departments or workstreams, including offshore teams.
• Proficiency in Workiva and NetSuite.
• Expertise in ASC 606 and ASC 805, M&A, and DeFi accounting.
• Ability to partner with Trading and BizDev teams to operationalize DeFi yields.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership & Strategy: manage accounting and reporting workstreams, set objectives, delegate tasks, and oversee budgets.
• Financial Normalization: oversee forensic data reviews and reconciliation for an audit-ready foundation.
• Advanced Technical Research: act as internal authority on ASC 606/805, principal vs. agent, and DeFi protocols.
• Capital Markets Readiness: draft disclosures and MD&A for potential SEC filings and registrations.
• Global Systems Optimization: design SOPs for offshore teams and align sub-ledgers with NetSuite.
