Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to partner with the CFO in overseeing SEC reporting, GAAP research, and consolidation activities for multiple entities.

You will lead the SEC team, coordinate external audits, and ensure accurate, timely disclosures while collaborating with cross-functional and international teams, including our Canada data center.

Qualifications

• Active CPA certification is required.
• Dual experience in Big 4/national firm and corporate finance.
• Deep knowledge of SEC reporting frameworks and GAAP research.
• Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
• Ability to collaborate across international teams, including Canada.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SEC reporting leadership including 10-K and 10-Q filings.
• Serve as SME for technical accounting under US GAAP.
• Lead multi-entity consolidations (NetSuite) across business units.
• Coordinate external audits and support quarterly/annual audit processes.
• Direct and develop the SEC reporting team.

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a high-caliber accounting leader for a Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. In this position, you will oversee SEC reporting, technical accounting, consolidations, audit coordination, and financing/transaction-related reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• SEC Leadership: Own and lead all SEC reporting activities, including the preparation and filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures.
• Technical Accounting: Serve as the subject matter expert for technical accounting policies and complex U.S. GAAP matters.
• Consolidations: Lead the consolidation process across multiple entities and business units (utilizing NetSuite).
• Audit Coordination: Manage external audit relationships and coordinate quarterly and annual audits.
• Team Management: Directly manage, mentor, and develop the SEC reporting team

Qualifications & Experience

• Active CPA certification is required.
• Dual Experience: A proven mix of public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and corporate industry experience.
• Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of SEC reporting frameworks, technical accounting research, and multi-entity consolidations.
• Systems: Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
• Leadership Style: Collaborative partner capable of working across international business lines (including our Canada data center team).
