Job summary

EDB is hiring a Technical Account Manager (TAM) for the US. The TAM will build and maintain post-sales relationships with large, complex customers adopting Postgres and AI solutions.

You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, guide customers on Postgres strategies, and lead architecture and project efforts while maintaining broad knowledge of EDB's product line across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Five years hands-on experience with Postgres, Oracle, DB2 or MS SQL Server.
• Advanced technical skills in data management platforms, operating systems, cloud technologies, and architectural guidance.
• Knowledge of data analytics and AI/ML concepts.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Excellent analytical skills regarding technical and project management issues.
• Good understanding of strategic sales process.
• Well-developed organizational skills to manage competing client demands.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, including ability to interact with CxO level personnel.
• Bachelor/Masters degree in IT/CS or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish a close working relationship with the customer’s senior technical leadership and become their trusted advisor.
• Help EDB customers maximize the value of their Postgres investment.
• Assist customers to develop and deploy Postgres strategies.
• Provide technical leadership for major Postgres initiatives (solutions consulting, architecture guidance, project management).
• Maintain current functional and technical knowledge of the EDB product line.
• Provide clear product feedback to EDB’s product management based on customer requirements.
• Document best practices in developing and deploying EDB solutions.
• Serve as frontline technical resource for best practices and customer questions.
• Travel up to 25% of the time as required.
