Job summary

CloudZero is seeking a Staff Technical Account Manager to blend data analysis with customer empowerment. You will work directly with customers on cost intelligence observations, guide conversations on cost growth, and advise on cost and AI ROI journeys across engineering, operations, and finance.

You will leverage your TAM expertise to build strategic relationships, lead executive reviews, and mentor other TAMs while driving adoption of cloud cost-management strategies and data-driven outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years consulting AWS, GCP, and/or Azure services/solutions.
• 7+ years in a Technical Account Manager, DevOps, or related role in a B2B SaaS tech environment.
• Ability to execute in a fast-paced and transformative workplace.
• Positive attitude with passion for growing, coaching others, and feedback.
• Highly collaborative with the ability to educate and influence at all levels.
• Ability to train and mentor others.
• Developed, documented and/or communicated financial analysis for cloud services with tech and finance teams.
• Expertise in understanding spend/reservations across clouds.
• Expertise in tagging/labeling and advising customers on strategies.
• Strong data passion to help customers achieve outcomes through their data.
• Proficient in Excel data analysis with v-lookups, index matches, named ranges, pivot tables.
• Experience building BI dashboards (Looker, Tableau, Quicksight, etc.).
• Expert in authoring SQL.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing strategic onboarding and implementation for customer segments.
• Mentor, coach and train fellow TAMs on improvements and enablement.
• Build strategic relationships across customer personas; lead credibility with senior management.
• Communicate value and monitor KPIs; conduct executive reviews.
• Be the CS ambassador for product, eng, and GTM teams; drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Introduce new products/features and champion outcomes process with customers.
• Resolve complex vendor issues and prevent negative trends.
• Develop and monitor adoption metrics to drive best-in-class NPS.
• Support retention and expansion for strategic customers (> $300k ARR).
• Develop internal controls and scalable technical solutions; produce playbooks.
• Lead joint success planning workshops and analysis for internal initiatives and tools like CZOPS.
• Create standards for data analyses, presentations, and explanations for stakeholders.
