GlobalFoundries is seeking an experienced attorney in Austin, TX to support drafting, review and negotiation of technology agreements across our product lines, including IP outlicense, procurement, development and licenses for process technology, EDA tools, and design IP.

The role requires a JD from a U.S. institution (or U.S.-equivalent LLM), 5+ years in technology transactions in semiconductor or related industries, and strong IP expertise, with excellent communication and IT tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a U.S. institution or U.S.-equivalent LLM.
• Familiarity with integrated circuits, applications, and design methodologies.
• 5+ years of legal experience in drafting and negotiating technology transactions in semiconductors.
• Deep IP knowledge with in-house or outside counsel experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with standard application suites.

Responsabilités

• Draft, review and revise IP outlicense agreements and schedules; negotiate terms like usage rights, warranty, indemnity and support provisions.
• Draft, review and revise other technology-related agreements (procurement, development, licenses) related to process technology, custom silicon, EDA tools, design IP, and software.
• Perform all activities safely and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
