The Senior Lead Counsel 1 is a senior level position responsible for providing Citi businesses and functions with legal counsel and thought leadership on all matters related to technology transactions and collaborating with legal and business peers globally to provide a broad range of commercial legal support for
Qualifications
- 7+ years of proven general commercial transactional experience.
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree.
- Member of Florida bar in good standing or eligible for in-house counsel within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Provide Citi businesses with legal counsel on technology transactions and related contracts.
- Advise on laws, rules, regulations, and industry practices affecting technology.
- Collaborate with internal lines of business and control functions for coordinated outcomes.
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of general commercial contracts, including tech agreements and SaaS/Hosted services.
- Monitor complex legal issues and escalate as needed.
- Assess risk in business decisions with a focus on Citi's reputation and compliance.
- Provide strategic input and thought leadership on technology and operations matters.
