Job summary

Akamai Information Technology seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end delivery of cross-organizational programs. You will report to governance boards, manage risks, and drive strategic initiatives across enterprise applications and external providers.

You will lead planning, execution, and benefits realization, partnering with senior sponsors and technical teams to ensure successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field or its equivalent.
• Professional experience as a Project Manager/Program Manager in an IT organization.
• Technical background to credibly evaluate risks and issues for technical teams.
• Experience on projects/programs supporting Enterprise Applications.
• Experience managing external implementation providers.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with excellent presentation and communication abilities.
• Proven track record of stakeholder management and senior leadership communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead program definition, planning, scope, and execution; monitor health and mitigate risks.
• Define integrated program plans with detailed work breakdown structures and required deliverables.
• Identify dependencies across programs and scope/lead transformation opportunities.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and report status to executive sponsors and governance forums.
• Operate independently in ambiguous circumstances to create clear paths forward for teams.
• Adopt best-practice guidelines to improve PMO processes.
