Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end delivery of strategic programs across Corporate Infrastructure, Applications, Security and Compliance.

You will partner with executive sponsors and governance boards to drive plans from planning to sustainment. You will lead program definition, manage scope, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication, while guiding teams through ambiguity and implementing PMO process improvements.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant IT program experience with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Project/Program Manager experience in an IT organization.
• Technical background to evaluate risks and issues credibly.
• Experience with Enterprise Applications projects.
• Experience managing external implementation providers.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of stakeholder management and communicating with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leading program definition, planning, scope, and execution, managing health status and mitigation plans.
• Defining integrated program plans and required deliverables for success.
• Identifying dependencies and leading transformation/growth opportunities across programs.
• Driving stakeholder alignment and reporting to executive sponsors and governance forums.
• Working independently in ambiguous situations to create clear paths forward for teams.
• Adopting best-practice guidelines to influence and improve PMO processes.
