Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Tech Ops Engineer to lead and scale regional hardware manufacturing across a complex, multi-vendor ecosystem.

You will own end-to-end supplier onboarding, site enablement, and technology roadmap execution to meet aggressive growth targets. You will drive capacity planning, automate key processes, and coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Hardware Engineering, Risk, Finance and Policy teams to ensure on-time delivery for enterprise hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or STEM field.
• 5+ years hands-on systems engineering and administrative work in networking, storage, and operating systems.
• Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, or automation environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the 3 to 5 year manufacturing operations strategy.
• Lead transformational programs including automation deployment, robotics integration, and lights out manufacturing.
• Drive manufacturing agility through flexible line configurations, rapid changeover capabilities, and multi product qualification strategies.
• Own capital expenditure planning for manufacturing operations, developing rigorous business cases for investments.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks across the manufacturing network.
• Develop high quality strategic documents and investment proposals for executive leadership.
