Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager for AWS Rack Manufacturing to own factory layout and material flow designs across AWS rack fulfillment sites.

You will link capacity planning with automation, construction, and operations to scale manufacturing infrastructure globally. You will partner with software, hardware, and operations teams to publish standards, drive throughput, and meet datacenter capacity commitments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams and release schedules.

Responsibilities

• Translate rack fulfillment capacity plans into data-driven facility layouts for AWS manufacturing operations.
• Design factory floor layouts including automation line stations and buffer sizing.
• Develop and maintain industrial simulation models (FlexSim, Plant Simulation, or equivalent).
• Coordinate utility and infrastructure requirements for each production zone with facilities teams.
• Manage phased layout plans aligned with construction milestones and create clear visual documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement by owning the factory layout and partnering with multiple engineering teams.
• Communicate clearly with executives and cross-functional groups.
• Advocate for teaching Automation across the organization.
• Multitask on several concurrent, high-complexity projects.
