Job summary

AWS is seeking a Principal Tech Operations Engineer to scale regional hardware manufacturing, align cross-functional stakeholders, and drive multi-year capacity and technology transitions. You will orchestrate external partners, onboarding, and site enablement, with a focus on scalable, cost-efficient production across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or project engineering in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and own 3–5 year manufacturing operations strategy and capacity planning.
• Lead transformational programs for automation, robotics, and lights-out manufacturing.
• Drive flexible line configurations and multi-product qualification strategies.
• Own CAPEX planning with rigorous business cases for equipment, facilities, and tech upgrades.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks across the network before impact to delivery.
• Develop executive-level investment documents and clear recommendations.
