Job summary

AWS is seeking a Principal Tech Operations Engineer to lead regional manufacturing operations across a complex hardware ecosystem. You will own end-to-end orchestration of external manufacturing partners, drive supplier onboarding, site enablement, and technology roadmaps while ensuring delivery at scale.

You will shape capacity planning, manage multi-vendor engagements, and push Industry 4.0, predictive maintenance, and smart factory initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field.
• 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering and administrative work in networking, storage systems, OSes.
• Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, or automation environments.
• Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects.
• Experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau) or forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the 3 to 5 year manufacturing operations strategy and capability gaps.
• Lead transformational programs including automation, robotics, and lights-out manufacturing.
• Drive manufacturing agility with flexible configurations and rapid changeover capabilities.
• Own capital expenditure planning with rigorous business cases for investments.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks across the manufacturing network.
• Develop strategic documents and investment proposals for executive leadership.
