Job summary

AirStrip Technologies seeks an Assistant General Counsel to join our Shared Services group. The role focuses on complex technology transactions, software licensing, SaaS and services agreements in healthcare IT, with HIPAA privacy/security expertise.

This is a remote role within the United States, with periodic travel to Dallas or Los Angeles as needed. You will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and other attorneys to ensure deadlines and goals are met, while guiding contract strategy

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with high academic achievement.
• Licensed to practice law in one or more U.S. states.
• 10+ years of relevant experience as a lawyer, including large law firm and in‑house.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements in healthcare IT and/or life sciences, with HIPAA privacy/security knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex agreements in healthcare IT and SaaS environments.
• Manage complex technology transactions from inception to closure.
• Assist in overseeing and improving contract management policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Collaborate with Privacy Officer and Legal to meet regulatory requirements.
• Support business teams to move transactions to closure.
