Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Compliance Testing Sr. Manager to lead a multi-tiered team responsible for enterprise-wide testing and regulatory alignment.

The role requires strategic thinking, risk judgment, and strong collaboration with data teams and business areas to deliver high-value results. Ideal candidates will have 6+ years in compliance testing or related fields, 5+ years of people management, and proficiency in Python and SQL.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience at a financial institution in Compliance Testing, Risk Management, Compliance Monitoring, or Audit.
• At least 5 years of people management experience or leading teams or projects.
• Master’s degree or Juris Doctorate degree.
• 6+ years of people management experience, including leading a multi-team organization.
• Extensive knowledge of consumer regulations and related business processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present to senior leaders.
• Certifications such as CRCM or similar are preferred.
• Experience engaging with analytics, products, and technology teams to lead initiatives.
• Experience scripting in Python and SQL for testing attributes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-tiered Compliance Testing Team across Capital One Enterprise.
• Develop, manage, and execute Compliance Testing calendars, data scripts, and methodologies.
• Align resources to ensure timely and accurate test execution and provide training.
• Advance testing breadth through technology solutions and tool reviews.
• Explore new technologies to progress initiatives and establish stakeholder relationships.
• Elevate substantive testing issues to senior management.
• Communicate test results and changes in procedures or processes.
• Create and provide reports to Accountable Executives, Senior Compliance Officers, and the CCO.
• Oversee responses for testing-related audits or exams as appropriate.
