Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Associate, Compliance Tester in Virginia to lead risk-based testing of transaction compliance. You will design and execute tests, assess adherence to applicable laws, regulations and guidance, and draw clear conclusions to support business risk decisions.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration with partner teams, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex findings succinctly to Compliance Officers, Legal, and Business Partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
• At least 3 years of experience in compliance testing or related fields.
• Experience with SQL and Python for testing.
• Experience interacting with senior management or business partners.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Executing targeted, complex testing for line of business compliance requirements.
• Demonstrating an understanding of business processes and control frameworks.
• Managing testing schedules to ensure timely completion and documentation.
• Systematically retaining documents that substantiate test results.
• Reviewing tests for accuracy and adherence to plan and procedures.
• Developing and executing test plans and identifying new high-risk tests.
• Requesting and analyzing data; improving data sourcing with partners.
• Identifying and applying new technologies and innovative concepts.
• Communicating results to Compliance Officers, Legal, and Business Partners.
• Demonstrating strong time management, organization, and prioritization.
