Job summary

Capital Group seeks a Senior Manager, Category Management to lead the Enterprise Aligned Technology Category Management team within the Enterprise Sourcing Office. You will partner with Technology, Finance, Risk, and business leaders to develop and execute category strategies across AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and more, driving risk management, innovation, and long-term value.

You will guide complex negotiations, manage top supplier relationships, and develop a growing team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology sourcing, category management, procurement, supplier management, or a related commercial discipline, with 12+ years preferred.
• Experience managing complex technology categories, including AI, cloud services, enterprise software, cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking, hardware, and technology services.
• Developed and executed sourcing and category strategies that align with business and technology priorities.
• Deep knowledge of technology supplier markets, cloud economics, software licensing models, cybersecurity solutions, and emerging AI technologies.
• Led complex negotiations and supplier relationships with significant business and financial impact.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of people leadership experience, including coaching, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
• Experience leading managers and supporting organizations through periods of growth, change, and transformation.
• Influencing senior leaders and building trusted relationships across Technology, Finance, Risk, Legal, and business teams.
• Comfortable navigating competing priorities, delivering difficult recommendations, and driving alignment without formal authority.
• Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills and ability to translate market insights into strategic business decisions.
• Effective communicator who can present complex technology and sourcing concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A strategic thinker who combines business partnership, category expertise, and people leadership to create lasting enterprise value.
• Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree or relevant sourcing certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Enterprise Aligned Technology Category Management team within the Enterprise Sourcing Office (ESO), overseeing global enterprise sourcing strategies across a broad portfolio including AI, Cloud Services, Enterprise Software, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Networking, Hardware, and Technology Services.
• Partner with senior Technology, Data, Finance, Risk, and business leaders to develop category strategies that optimize technology investments, manage risk, accelerate innovation, and deliver long-term business value.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and strategic supplier relationships across Capital Group's technology spend portfolio.
• Lead and develop a growing team of category management professionals and managers, shaping the future of the organization while driving sourcing excellence, governance, and best practices.
• Influence executive stakeholders and build organizational capabilities within the ESO transformation.
