Job summary

Pearson, a global leader in learning, is seeking a strategic Portfolio Manager to grow its technical content across certification, cybersecurity, cloud, AI, networking, and related areas. You will guide strategy, manage partnerships with authors and vendors, and shape roadmap decisions to meet market and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in content portfolio management or related roles.
• Track record signing or launching high-value tech content (certification, cybersecurity, cloud, AI).
• Experience with authors, vendors, strategic partners, or platform providers.
• Experience managing complex partner relationships and contracts.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, enterprise environments with timing and execution discipline.
• Experience using AI tools for research or planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow strategic publishing and partnerships across books, video, live training, and other learning products.
• Shape title strategy, content priorities, and portfolio roadmaps for assigned partner relationships.
• Identify, negotiate, and sign high-value titles for enterprise distribution, focusing on certification, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, and networking.
• Build and maintain relationships with authors, technical experts, publishing partners, and vendors.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Royalties, and operational teams.
• Use market analysis, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and sales signals to identify new content and growth opportunities.
• Track portfolio performance and recommend adjustments to improve reach, revenue, and customer impact.
• Use AI tools responsibly to support research, analysis, planning, and portfolio planning.
