Job summary

Avalara is seeking a Senior Solution Consultant to help clients in the DACH region navigate indirect tax regulations with confidence. You will influence sales cycles, deliver expert guidance on Avalara's tax solutions, and act as a trusted advisor from discovery through implementation kickoff.

This remote role reports to the Director, Solution Consulting EMEA and partners with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to address complex customer scenarios while staying current with regulatory

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in SaaS presales, consulting, or solution implementation roles.
Knowledge of indirect tax regulations and tax technology products in EMEA; global experience is a plus.
Fluency in German, English, and Spanish and/or French.
Experience with major ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft D365.

Responsibilities

Support Sales, Partner, and Business Development teams by providing subject‑matter expertise on Avalara’s indirect tax products and capabilities throughout the sales cycle.
Partner with customers to understand their tax, compliance, and integration requirements, delivering expert guidance and tailored recommendations.
Act as a technical and regulatory advisor from presales through implementation kickoff, ensuring smooth handover and alignment on scope and expectations.
Lead detailed product demonstrations and solution consultations, clearly articulating value to business and technical audiences.
Maintain a deep understanding of Avalara’s products and roadmap evolution.
