Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Manager in Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications of their business objectives and to act as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. The role includes tax compliance, research, and strategy development, with a focus on reducing tax burden and costs while ensuring quality and compliance.

The candidate will participate in marketing, networking, and business development, and may provide written tax advice to clients.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or statistics.
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• CPA, attorney, or EA certification required or equivalent.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Advises clients on tax implications of business objectives.
• Reviews tax accruals and ensures timely billing and collections.
• Leads research and analysis for ASC 740, FIN 48 and related tax provisions.
• Provides written tax advice and participates in client meetings and presentations.
• Supervises and mentors associates and senior associates.
