Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Manager, Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications of business objectives, assess alternatives to reduce tax burden, and manage compliance requirements. The role involves communicating potential risks and changes in tax policy, and participating in marketing and business development within an area of specialization.

You will provide written tax advice, involve firm specialists as needed, and serve as the primary client contact for complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics is required.
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation is preferred.
• Five+ years of tax experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting is required.
• CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide client advisory on tax implications of business objectives and compliance.
• Lead tax compliance reviews, budget and staffing planning, and timely billing and collections.
• Apply ASC 740, FIN 48 and related policies; communicate tax accruals and uncertainties to clients.
• Develop and implement efficient tax consulting approaches to maximize client benefits.
• Supervise associates and seniors; delegate work and provide performance feedback.
• Assist with internal training and development of the tax team.
