Job summary

BDO seeks a Tax Experienced Manager, Core Tax Services, to advise clients on tax implications of business objectives, evaluate alternatives to reduce tax burden and ensure compliance. The role involves leading tax planning, risk assessment, and client communications, while actively contributing to the region’s leadership, marketing, and business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting experience.
• CPA, Attorney, or EA certification required or equivalent.
• Strong supervisory, leadership, and client-relations skills.
• Experience with ASC 740, FIN 48, and tax provision processes preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly to clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and strategies.
• Lead tax compliance reviews, planning, and risk assessment for engagements.
• Manage client relationships and project expectations with senior leadership.
• Supervise associates and senior associates; provide training on tax software tools.
• Develop and present tax strategies and recommendations to clients.
