Job summary

Metropolitan Family Service leads the Impuestos Comunitarios tax program at the MFS Civic Office in Gresham, OR, overseeing volunteer tax preparation activities and ensuring high-quality service.

The Lead Tax Site Coordinator III provides calm leadership, coordinates staff and volunteers, manages scheduling, and ensures compliance with tax codes while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a BA/BS in public service or human services or equivalent related experience
• Fluency in Spanish required
• Experience managing teams or volunteers in dynamic, high-pressure environments
• Database management and quality assurance experience
• Strong collaboration and cross-team coordination abilities

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute volunteer tax preparation activities for Impuestos Comunitarios at the MFS Civic location
• Lead, schedule, and support a diverse team of volunteers and staff
• De-escalate client situations and provide calm, compassionate service
• Coordinate hiring and scheduling, and ensure resources meet site needs
• Monitor tax preparation services for quality and compliance
• Provide guidance and support to volunteers and staff in real time
• Respond to emergencies involving clients or volunteers with calm leadership
• Facilitate ITIN application services as a Certified Acceptance Agent
• Attend supervisory meetings and assist other sites as needed
